So I can’t believe I have neglected this page for so long now. I really haven’t felt inspired to write anything and I guess for a long time I just felt like nobody was listening or frankly cared about what I had to say.

The thing is, I realised recently that it’s not about having an audience behind you that should be the reason to blog. It should be because you want to write and be creative and regardless of whether nobody reads it or a million people read it, it’s about my life and it’s always good to document my life.

So yes, I am back. I am planning on writing many more posts to come. I am going to make this more of a photo diary going forward as it’s good to share photos that you’ve taken and then I can write about what I have been up to alongside that.

There is also another big reason why I want to start writing again a bit more. In October this year I will officially become a student again, as I will embark on a degree in Creative Writing and learning about the arts which is something that I have always been keen on and something that interests me, the final goal being that I want to get into a career in this fold. I used to think it would be impossible for me to ever get there but then I thought life is too short to focus on negatives and what I can’t do, how about actually just going out there and trying to actually grab this stuff by the horns and say “I can do this”…

So yes, in October I will be studying again. It will take me up to six years in total if I do all of the studying part-time alongside my current job, but to be honest, I’m going to give it a go and dedicate a lot of my time to studying hard when I’m on my days off and there is nothing stopping me from bringing that six year goal down to three or four years depending on the modules I do. My ambition since an early age is journalism and writing, hence why I am wanting to study this craft, and I think I can bring in my keen eye of photography and music to help me with this.

As you know, I love taking photos and I love music so I am always at concerts and festivals and that isn’t planned to stop anytime soon. I want to master the craft of photography as best I can alongside learning how to write more creatively and hopefully interlock those two skills to add to my blog and socials.

So that’s where I am today. I am dreaming big, this is only the start of that adventure but I am determined to put the effort in. This is where if you are reading this, and thank you if you are, just having you read what I have to say about my life means a lot and I hope you will want to stick around for more.

I will start writing up some of the concerts and festivals that I attend to almost “pretend” that I am already a journalist and hopefully over time this will be a recipe for success in not just my personal life, but my career too. We shall see. It’s OK to have ambition and I am finally seeing mine and going for it, 17 years after finishing college.
