Rebranding My YouTube Channel: StudioDJC Launch

There’s a strange kind of intimacy in returning to your own past work — not to cringe (although let’s be honest, that happens), but to see where the spark was, where the heart was, and where it all needed a little more time to breathe. That’s exactly what this moment is about for me.

The launch of my new YouTube channel, StudioDJC, isn’t just a reset. It’s a quiet rebrand, a new direction, and a promise to myself to create with more intention. I’m carving out a space purely for my art house aerials — the moody, atmospheric visual stories that don’t need dialogue or dopamine pacing. Just light, shadow, movement, and feeling.

This isn’t the fast-food version of content. This is the slow-burn. The short films. The ones I obsessed over, gave up on, came back to. The ones that whisper instead of shout. And at the heart of it all — a set of four re-uploaded videos that mark the beginning of this more refined, focused journey.

ÅLESUND FROM ABOVE

A coastal town that could pass for a painting. Ålesund is a fairytale rendered in Art Nouveau and fjord light. This re-upload is the same footage I captured in 2024 — but with new edits, new energy, and the kind of pacing that lets the town breathe.

A cinematic flyover of architecture, ocean, and golden Nordic skies.

OLDEN, NORWAY

Possibly the video that taught me the most about stillness. Olden isn’t dramatic in the way cities are — it’s quieter. A slow-motion gasp. It’s a glacier-fed, emerald-hued kind of silence. This re-edit focuses on that feeling — the serenity, the awe, the almost holy hush of the fjords.

A love letter to nature’s still power.

DURDLE DOOR AERIAL

Originally shared in 2024 and lost in the algorithmic noise. I’ve always felt this one deserved more. The Jurassic Coast is primal and cinematic — it doesn’t need a flashy edit, just respect. This re-upload is cleaner, moodier, and finally done right.

A timeless limestone arch. A coastline carved by time. A shot that now gets the spotlight it earned.

GREENWICH AERIAL

Filmed on a perfect evening, this one captures the liminal space where old London meets new. From the symmetry of the Old Royal Naval College to the looming towers of Canary Wharf, this aerial piece is about legacy and change — and how one location can embody both.

The past at your feet, the future on the skyline.

Why Re-upload at All?

Because sometimes we post things before they’re ready. Or we’re not ready to show them properly. Or we rush. Or we doubt. Or we think, no one will watch this anyway.

But now I’m learning to value the process. To look back, not with embarrassment, but with care. These aren’t just re-uploads. They’re restorations. Creative redemptions. And a way of saying: this mattered to me — and it still does.

So if you’re into slow visuals, moody landscapes, aerial perspectives, and letting your eyes wander in silence — welcome to StudioDJC. There’s more to come. The skies are wide open.
