Some shoots feel different, and this was one of them. Photographing Andreea has never been about just taking pictures — it is about capturing the energy of a good friend who has been by my side through thick and thin. This set was a reminder of why I love photography: the chance to turn a simple walk around Winchester into a collection of moments that feel timeless.
The Wall
We began by the stone walls that line Winchester’s old streets and cathedral. Their rough texture gave us contrast and grit, and Andreea leaned into the moment — half in shadow, half in light — as if balancing the edge between strength and softness.

The Flowers
From there we found the gardens alive with marigolds and roses. The yellow roses became the emblem of the evening — bright, delicate, and full of life. They tied the set together, not just as props, but as a symbol of the joy we found in making something beautiful out of a simple summer walk.

The Gateway
As the light dropped lower, we reached a small iron archway. Framed beneath its lines and surrounded by the glow of golden hour, Andreea stood rooted, calm yet confident. This was the moment where everything came together — colour, light, presence.

Reflections
The main thread of this shoot — and why it matters to me — is friendship. There is something different about photographing someone you know well. The trust is already there. The laughter between shots is real. And when the camera comes up, it is not about posing but about being. That honesty shows in every frame.
This collection is a memory I am glad to have turned into photographs. A celebration of friendship, light, and the simple magic of taking a camera out with someone who matters.
